Rochdale Goalball Club exists to encourage and enable active young
people with a visual impairment to participate in a competitive paralympic
team sport. Family and friends are also welcome to join as the sport
is such that not having a visual impairment is not a barrier to participation.
However, goalball is a very physical game and players need to be robust,
agile and fit. The club operates from Siddal Moor Sports College in
Heywood (Autumn and Spring term-time only) and contest national tournaments
on a regular basis. Membership of the club is free but players must
join British Blind Sport to represent the club and be covered by insurance.

Following a series of outstanding performances in local and national goalball tournaments during the 2006 season he was invited to attend the latest Great Britain Training Camp held at the Bedford International Arena last Saturday, 13th January 2007. The camp was organised by the British Paralympic Performance Service (BPPS) in conjunction with British Blind Sport (BBS) and the British Paralympic Association (BPA).
